Elizabeth "Betty" J. (Betz) Goshe

Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Goshe, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday evening, April 20, 2024, at The Willows at Tiffin.

She was born on December 13, 1934, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Arthur and Clara (Zirger) Betz. She married Delmar R. Goshe on November 20, 1954.

Survivors include her son, Brian J. Goshe of Mechanicsburg; daughters, Carol A. (Richard) Dise of North Lewisburg, Janet M. (Robert) Kuhn of Nicholasville, KY, and Donna J. Goshe of Findlay; brothers, A. William Betz and James D. (Jan) Betz, both of Tiffin; sister, Mary Jean Stanton of Tiffin; four grandsons; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her sister-in-law, Carol Betz.

Betty was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and graduated in 1952 from Tiffin Calvert. After graduating, she worked in payroll at Tiffin Glass House and GE. After her children were born, she was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. When her youngest was in high school, she went back to work as a teller for Tiffin St. Joseph Federal Credit Union and retired in 1996. Betty enjoyed reading and in her later years, word search puzzles. She enjoyed day trips with her husband, especially those to Amish Country. A dedicated caregiver, once her children were older, she ran errands and took care of business for her parents and in-laws. Betty was also an OSU Football fan.

Her funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating.

Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Allen Eiry Senior Center.
